Dolese Bros. Co. provides sand and gravel that meet a variety of specifications and have an abundance of uses.

Dolese's ranking as one of the top sand and gravel producers in the country comes from our ability to offer quality products that meet our customer's needs at a competitive price. From our eight production or distribution facilities that cover the Oklahoma City, Enid, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana areas, we provide the following materials:

Concrete Sand: Dolese's concrete sand, made to meet ASTM C33 standards, is a washed high quality specification product that is thoroughly tested at the production facilities and in our quality control lab in Oklahoma City to ensure it meets applicable gradation requirements. Concrete sand is primarily used as the fine aggregate component in the production of concrete, but also meets specifications as granular backfill and some filter applications.

Dolese Special Sand (DSS): Dolese's DSS sand is made to a slightly finer gradation than ASTM C33 concrete sand. This finer gradation can help improve the finishing qualities of concrete it is made with. DSS is a high quality washed product made to our own specification and can be an excellent value.

Masonry Sand: Dolese's masonry sand is washed and screened to remove imperfections. This product is very fine, which makes it ideal for grout, mortar, and other masonry applications including use as a "joint sand" to fill the joints between pavers and patio blocks. Masonry sand is very clean, but it is normally a non-specification product. However, at our Guthrie sand plant we do offer a masonry sand product made to meet ASTMC144 specifications.

Screened Fill Sand: Dolese's screened fill sand is a clean non-spec washed product. Because it is clean it is a great material to use in the production of asphalt. It can also be used as a leveling course in many outdoor masonry applications, as a bed for an above ground pool, or to construct a sand volleyball court.

Unscreened Fill Sand: Some plants have unscreened fill sand. Unscreened fill sand is an unprocessed non-specification material generally loaded right out of the river or lake bank. Although it is a non-spec material, fill sand can be a good value for general fill applications.

Gravel: Specifically, "gravel" is smooth rounded river rock. Gravel is an excellent concrete rock. When used in the proper concrete mix and finished properly it produces a very appealing exposed aggregate appearance. It also has a wide variety of decorative, landscaping, and natural filtration applications. River gravel is produced only at our Mustang, Oklahoma Sand and Gravel plant and our St. Helena Sand and Gravel plant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
